The Department of Economics organized a field visit to the Ideal Village, Patoda in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to give students practical exposure to rural and agricultural systems. During the visit, students observed local farming practices, irrigation methods, crop patterns and livestock management. They also interacted with farmers and community members to understand the challenges faced in agriculture, including market access, climate concerns and resource availability. The visit highlighted various development initiatives adopted in the village and offered insights into rural livelihoods, community participation and sustainable practices. This experience helped students connect economic theories with ground realities and broadened their understanding of rural development.
