Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, March 28: A two-day National Round Table Conference on the theme “Reimagining the Future of Marathwada” was successfully concluded at Mahatma Gandhi Mission University. The conference was jointly organized by the Institute of Social Sciences and the College of Communication, Culture and Media, in collaboration with the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. It was held at the Vinoba Bhave Auditorium in the presence of eminent personalities from various fields.

The valedictory session was attended by Vijayanna Borade, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vilas Sapkal, MAGIC’s Ashish Garde, Dr. Ishwar Kale, former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sudhir Gavhane, Dr. Suhas Bhasme from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, economist Prof. H. M. Desarda, Dean Dr. John Chelladurai, Director Dr. Ramesh Jare, Director Dr. K. P. Singh, Dr. H. N. Sonkambale, along with professors, students, and distinguished participants.

Marathwada has historically lagged behind in the development process due to its prolonged period under the Nizam’s rule and persistent water scarcity. In this context, the conference focused not only on identifying challenges but also on proposing concrete and practical solutions. Experts engaged in detailed discussions across sessions on key areas such as agriculture, water management, education, industry, social development, and policy planning.

During the valedictory session, detailed deliberations were held on the concept of a “Vision Document for Marathwada” based on the recommendations emerging from the conference. This document aims to serve as a comprehensive roadmap for the region’s holistic and sustainable development and will soon be submitted to the government. It was also stated that MGM University will take the lead in implementing various initiatives based on this vision in the coming years.

Dignitaries present expressed that the conference has opened new perspectives, provided clear direction, and created fresh opportunities for collaboration towards the development of Marathwada.

एमजीएममध्ये राष्ट्रीय गोलमेज परिषद उत्साहात संपन्न

मराठवाड्याच्या 'भविष्याची पुनर्कल्पना’ विषयावर आधारित व्हिजन डॉक्युमेंट सादर

छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि.२९ : महात्मा गांधी मिशन विद्यापीठाच्या इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ सोशल सायन्सेस आणि कॉलेज ऑफ कम्युनिकेशन, कल्चर अँड मीडिया यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने, तसेच फॅकल्टी ऑफ इंटरडिसिप्लिनरी स्टडीजच्या सहकार्याने आयोजित ‘मराठवाड्याच्या भविष्याची पुनर्कल्पना’ या विषयावरील दोन दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय गोलमेज परिषद उत्साहात संपन्न झाली. ही परिषद विद्यापीठाच्या विनोबा भावे सभागृहात विविध क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत पार पडली.

परिषदेच्या समारोप सत्राला कृषिभूषण विजयअण्णा बोराडे, कुलगुरू प्रा.डॉ.विलास सपकाळ, मॅजिकचे आशिष गर्दे, डॉ. ईश्वर काळे, माजी कुलगुरू डॉ. सुधीर गव्हाणे, टाटा इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ सोशल सायन्सेसचे डॉ. सुहास भस्मे, अर्थतज्ञ प्रा. एच. एम. देसरडा, अधिष्ठाता डॉ. जॉन चेल्लादुराई, संचालक प्रा. डॉ. रमेश जारे, संचालक डॉ. के. पी. सिंग, डॉ. ह. नि. सोनकांबळे यांच्यासह प्राध्यापक, विद्यार्थी आणि विविध क्षेत्रांतील मान्यवर मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते.

मराठवाडा हा प्रदेश दीर्घकाळ निजामाच्या राजवटीखाली राहिल्यामुळे तसेच सततच्या पाणीटंचाईच्या समस्येमुळे विकासाच्या प्रक्रियेत मागे राहिल्याचे वास्तव आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर आयोजित या परिषदेत केवळ समस्यांची मांडणी न करता, त्या समस्यांवर ठोस आणि व्यावहारिक उपाययोजना सुचविण्यावर भर देण्यात आला. विविध सत्रांमध्ये तज्ज्ञांनी कृषी, पाणी व्यवस्थापन, शिक्षण, उद्योग, सामाजिक विकास आणि धोरणात्मक नियोजन यांसारख्या महत्त्वाच्या विषयांवर सखोल चर्चा केली.

परिषदेच्या समारोप सत्रात सुचविण्यात आलेल्या उपाययोजनांच्या आधारे ‘मराठवाड्याचे व्हिजन डॉक्युमेंट’ या संकल्पनेवर सविस्तर चर्चा करण्यात आली. या व्हिजन डॉक्युमेंटच्या माध्यमातून प्रदेशाच्या सर्वांगीण आणि शाश्वत विकासासाठी मार्गदर्शक आराखडा तयार करण्यात येणार असून, तो लवकरच शासनाकडे सादर केला जाणार आहे. तसेच, या व्हिजन डॉक्युमेंटच्या अंमलबजावणीसाठी एमजीएम विद्यापीठ पुढाकार घेऊन आगामी काळात विविध उपक्रम राबविणार असल्याचेही यावेळी सांगण्यात आले.

या परिषदेमुळे मराठवाड्याच्या विकासासाठी नवे दृष्टिकोन, ठोस दिशा आणि सहकार्याची नवी संधी निर्माण झाल्याचे मत उपस्थित मान्यवरांनी व्यक्त केले.
