Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sept. 16: To mark Hyderabad Liberation Day, Team Shaharnama organised a heritage walk at the Marathwada Liberation Movement Museum in Siddharth Garden. The museum walk received an enthusiastic response from citizens, with more than 100 participants attending the programme and learning about the history of the Hyderabad Liberation Movement.

The programme was jointly organised by the Department of History and Archaeology, MGM University; Aakhyan Foundation; Garware Community Centre; AdGuide Media Pvt. Ltd.; the Ministry of Tourism; and Team Shaharnama. The programme began with a floral tribute at the memorial in the garden. Historian Dr. Bhagwat Wagh was the keynote speaker and spoke on ‘The History of the Marathwada Liberation Movement from a Contemporary Perspective’.

Dr. Wagh highlighted the close connection between India's freedom struggle and the Hyderabad Liberation Movement. He explained how the spirit of nationalism gradually spread to rural areas and how the administration under the Nizam created difficulties for the people of the Hyderabad State. The official administrative language of the Hyderabad State was Urdu, which created challenges for the local Marathi, Telugu and Kannada-speaking population. The movement was carried forward through local leadership and organised efforts, making the history of the Hyderabad Liberation Movement relevant even today, he said.

Dr. Wagh also discussed the formation of the Maharashtra Parishad on linguistic lines and its subsequent role in the emergence of the Hyderabad State Congress. He highlighted the contributions of the Arya Samaj, Hindu Mahasabha's Satyagraha and various revolutionaries to the movement. He also underlined the significance of the stories of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the struggle for liberation.

During the heritage walk, participants were introduced to various historical documents and references preserved in the museum. Special historical documents from the collection of Shreeprakash Purwar were displayed for visitors. Coins from the Nizam's era in Hyderabad and coins from various princely states, collected by archaeologist Ashutosh Patil, were also exhibited.

Anant Rakshasbhuvankar, one of the participants, shared a deeply moving personal memory associated with the liberation movement. His elder brother, Vasant Rakshasbhuvankar, was martyred at the age of just 21 during the movement. Recalling his brother's sacrifice, he became emotional, creating a poignant moment for those present.

The historical documents, coins and memorabilia displayed at the museum provided participants with an opportunity to understand the history of the Hyderabad Liberation Movement through authentic visual and documentary references. Team Shaharnama said that the initiative sought to convey the message that museums are not merely places where historical objects are preserved, but living spaces through which history can be understood and experienced.

हेरिटेज वॉकमध्ये उजळली ‘मुक्तिसंग्राम गाथा’

हैदराबाद मुक्तिसंग्राम दिनानिमित्त ‘शहरानामा’या हेरिटेज वॉकला प्रतिसाद

छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि.१६ : हैदराबाद मुक्तिसंग्राम दिनानिमित्त ‘टीम शहरनामा’ने सिद्धार्थ उद्यानातील मराठवाडा मुक्तीसंग्राम संग्रहालयात हेरिटेज वॉक घेतला. याही म्युझियम वॉकला नागरिकांचा उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद मिळाला. उपक्रमात १०० हून अधिक नागरिकांनी सहभाग घेत हैदराबाद मुक्तीसंग्रामाचा इतिहास जाणून घेतला. इतिहास व पुरातत्त्व विभाग, एमजीएम विद्यापीठ, आख्यान फाउंडेशन, गरवारे कम्युनिटी सेंटर, अॅडगाइड मीडिया प्रा. लि. आणि केंद्रीय पर्यटन विभाग व टीम 'शहरनामा' यांच्या वतीने हा कार्यक्रम घेण्यात आला.‌ कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात उद्यानातील स्मृतिस्थळाला पुष्पहार अर्पण करून करण्यात आली. यावेळी प्रमुख वक्ते म्हणून इतिहास अभ्यासक डॉ.भागवत वाघ उपस्थित होते. त्यांनी ‘आजच्या परिप्रेक्ष्यातून मराठवाडा मुक्ती संग्रामाचा इतिहास’ या विषयावर मार्गदर्शन केले.

भारताचा स्वातंत्र्यलढा, त्यातून उभी राहिलेली चळवळ, आणि हैदराबाद मुक्तिसंग्रामाचा जवळचा संबंध होता. राष्ट्रवादाची भावना ही ग्रामीण भागातूनही व्यापक होत गेली. निजामाचे प्रशासन हे संस्थानातील जनतेला अन्यायकारक होते. विशेषतः हैदराबाद संस्थानची प्रशासकीय भाषा उर्दू होती. मराठी, तेलगू आणि कानडी भाषिक स्थानिक जनतेला हा भाषिक अट्टाहास त्रासदायक होता. स्थानिक नेतृत्व आणि संघटन या माध्यमातून हा लढा लढला गेला. त्यामुळे हैदराबाद मुक्तिसंग्रामाचा इतिहास वर्तमानातही महत्त्वाचा आहे, याकडे डॉ.भागवत वाघ यांनी‌ लक्ष वेधले.

निजामाच्या प्रशासनात संस्थानातील जनतेला अडचणी यायच्या. महाराष्ट्र परिषद सुरुवातीला भाषिक आधारावर उभी राहिली; पुढे याच प्रक्रियेतून हैदराबाद स्टेट काँग्रेसची निर्मिती झाली. आर्य समाज, हिंदू महासभेचे सत्याग्रह तसेच विविध क्रांतिकारकांचे योगदानही या लढ्यात महत्त्वाचे ठरले, याकडे डॉ. वाघ यांनी लक्ष वेधले. हैदराबाद मुक्ती संग्रामासाठी बलिदान देणाऱ्या हुतात्म्यांच्या शौर्यगाथेचे महत्त्व त्यांनी अधोरेखित केले. वॉकदरम्यान संग्रहालयातील विविध दस्तऐवज आणि ऐतिहासिक संदर्भांची माहिती देण्यात आली. श्रीप्रकाश पुरवार यांच्या संग्रहातील विशेष ऐतिहासिक दस्तऐवज नागरिकांना पाहता आले. पुरातत्वविद आशुतोष पाटील यांच्या वैयक्तिक संग्रहातील हैदराबादच्या निजामाच्या काळातील नाणी आणि विविध संस्थानांची नाणी यांचेही प्रदर्शन यावेळी घेण्यात आले. उपस्थितांपैकी अनंत राक्षसभुवनकर यांनी मुक्तीसंग्रामातील हृद्य आठवण सांगितली. या मुक्तिसंग्रामात त्यांचे थोरले बंधू वसंत राक्षसभुवनकर वयाच्या अवघ्या २१ व्या वर्षी शहीद झाले. आपल्या  भावाच्या बलिदानाची आठवण सांगताना त्यांचे डोळे पाणावले आणि उपस्थित वातावरण भावूक झाले.

संग्रहालयातील ऐतिहासिक दस्तऐवज, नाणी, स्मृतीचिन्हे या माध्यमातून हैदराबाद मुक्तिसंग्रामाचा इतिहास वस्तुनिष्ठ आणि दृश्य संदर्भातून समजून घेण्याची संधी मिळाल्याने सहभागींना मिळाली. या उपक्रमातून संग्रहालये केवळ वस्तू जतन करण्याची ठिकाणे नसून इतिहास समजून घेण्याची आणि अनुभवण्याची जिवंत माध्यमे आहेत, हा संदेश द्यायचा आमचा प्रयत्न होता, असे शहरनामा यांनी सांगितले. यावेळी गरवारे कम्युनिटी सेंटरचे संचालक सुनील सुतवणे, रमाकांत रौतल्ले, भारत पर्यटन विभागाच्या सहायक निदेशक स्नेहल पाटील उपस्थित होत्या.
