The Department of Psychology, Institute of Social Sciences, organized the inaugural function of the Weekly Lecture Series on 25th August 2025 at Einstein Hall. The event was anchored by Ms.Sai Pawar and featured an enlightening lecture by Prof. (Dr.) Aparna Ashtaputre, Head, Department of Psychology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, on the theme: Healing Through Feeling: How Emotions Shape Mental Health. Prof. Ashtaputre shared valuable insights on emotional regulation, self-love, gratitude, and the power of positive affirmations in enhancing mental well-being. The session included an interactive Q&A, a video presentation by students Ms. Ayushi Kala and Ms. Khushi Agarwal, and a presidential address by the Director of IoSS. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Saisha Singhare. The enthusiastic participation of students and the overwhelmingly positive feedback marked the event as a resounding success. With this inspiring start, the Department of Psychology looks forward to hosting more thought-provoking lectures under the Weekly Lecture Series, fostering continuous learning, personal growth, and psychological well-being.
