Human Evolution and Anthropology

Program Outline

The Certificate Course in Human Evolution and Anthropology at MGM University's Institute of Social Sciences is an intensive 3-month program exploring human origins, biological evolution, and cultural development. Students study paleoanthropology, primate evolution, fossil records, and human adaptation while examining cultural diversity and social structures across societies through lectures, museum visits, and interactive case studies analyzing skeletal remains and archaeological evidence.
The curriculum covers human physical characteristics, evolutionary mechanisms, and anthropological theory alongside ethnographic studies of contemporary cultures. Students examine migration patterns, genetic diversity, language evolution, and cultural practices, gaining knowledge of archaeological methods, ethical fieldwork practices, and anthropological research techniques while analyzing how humans have adapted biologically and culturally to diverse environments throughout history. br Graduates are equipped for careers in museums, archaeological departments, heritage organizations, and educational institutions as anthropology assistants, research coordinators, and cultural educators. The program cultivates scientific understanding of human diversity, cultural sensitivity, and historical perspective, preparing professionals to contribute to anthropological knowledge, promote intercultural understanding, and support heritage preservation and public education about human evolution and cultural heritage.
